SHEILA BIRLING
Sheila Birling is described as a pretty young women who initially seems to be content with the events in her life. She seems to be concerned with beautifying her physical appearance (wearing dresses, makeup) through her feminine identity, speaking innocently with a gentle tone. Aside this, Sheila is playful when interacting with her family and fiancé (Gerald) in a celebratory atmosphere but easily falls into believing the perceptions of others. Her curiosity to find links with the inspectors accusations of being involved drives her to a less optimistic mentality, feeling deep guilt and accepting the responsibility for her actions. This allows her to completely move her parents into an unfavourable light and sympathetic for those suffering in a harsh reality filled with such complications mentioned in their interrogations. After Sheila finds the truth behind her family she becomes frustrated with their proud personalities, maturing with more confidence in wiser opinions and aware of her environment.
