POV B - Rapidly trailing through a never-ending series of crisp, green foliage and ashy rubble. I sprinted whilst grasping on to every breath I held. An unbearable rush of adrenaline flushed through my aching body, frequently stumbling on the uneven terrain composing an elaborate symphony of sudden crumbles and snaps. Passing thin, brown streaks that towered towards the sky and frisking against prickly blades in search for a sanctuary. Above, the sky appeared as delicate cracks of a blue-tinted white, peeking through the abundant canopy. There was no clouds nor any birds to distract the serenity of a clear open space, presenting itself as a remedy to retrieve a vanishing sanity. Heavenly rays of light weaved through to awaken dead trees, otherwise shadows nesting a liar for vermin. I take a quick glance behind only to be reminded of my unfortunate reality of being chased by the monstrous beast. The bear's angry hunger growls produced an audible beating to my heart and its mouth widened to reveal a set of yellow stained canines as large as my frail fingers. Its gleaming orbs stared deeply, richly fantasising of clawing through red human flesh with its paws and sinking its teeth in the delicacy in savagery. I would be an addition to the thick forest's wreaking stench of abandoned carcasses left to rot and wet soil - mixed together by violent forces of nature and travelling beasts. I constantly bumped into jutting branches, a complex network of tributaries that emerged from mossy boughs. These extended bravely into the mysterious mist that wavered across, creating distant dark spiralling figures. A numbing sensation followed as I continued to kick through the dirt although the heavy growls began to dissipate. I divided into a fallen bark, sliding my body into the hollow crevice and pressing my slippery skin onto its rough, peeling scales.
