Collaboration ATL Reflection
I think that during the group activity that was done in class allowed me to present good collaborative skills and also find areas where improvement could be made. I thought that we were able to successfully manage our time to ensure the task given was done well, sparing time to brainstorm, provide each person's role and decide how it would be presented. Further more, my group allowed each member of the group to share their ideas so that there was minimal conflict and it would be a fair effort. I think this exchange of thoughts helped others to elaborate their ideas or even help others who faced difficulty, I thought that I was able to do this as I was encouraged to lead the discussion. Despite this, I did think that some people did begin to argue with each other or interrupt under the time constraint or a lack of effort to contribute. Eventually we were able to resolve minor issues as each person was responsible to present specific parts of the presentation and adjustments were done so that each person was comfortable or understood what they were explaining. For example, one person was in charge of the introduction and the visual aspects by clearly writing key words on the whiteboard so that they had an ongoing participation, just as important as those saying more. In conclusion. in future tasks my group and I should've acted in a more calm manner just to prevent rude behaviour or being indecisive with our choices through arguing.
